Year 6 SAT’s Testing and Breakfast Club - Monday 13 May to Thursday 16 May 2024

The week beginning Monday 13 May, the children in Year 6 will be taking SAT’s examinations in grammar, punctuation and spelling, reading and mathematics. All the children in Year 6 classes in the UK will be taking the tests on exactly the same days.

All of the children have worked hard in preparation for these tests and we want them to achieve the marks they justly deserve. This is a very important week for your child. The information gained from the tests is taken into consideration by secondary schools to put pupils into ability groups in Year 7.

From Monday to Thursday we would like the children to come straight into school at 8.00 am when they will take part in a breakfast club. Afterwards, we will take the registers and settle the children before the tests, which are due to start at 9.15 am.
