Science Day

Wow- what a day! Firstly, an enormous thank you to everyone at home that contributed to their child's costumes. We were blown away by the dedication and attention to detail that was shown. 

All of the children were presented with a story containing a problem. Through applying the taught scientific steps, they were able to make predictions and hypothesise what could happen if they changed certain variables. Then, the children all had a superb time completing various different experiments to help them solve a variety of problems. This culminated in creating a scientifically backed solution to their original problem. 

Throughout the day, staff were keenly observing (as good scientists should) the children that had the best attitude and asked the most inquisitive questions. These children were then selected as the Star Scientists, for the selections see below: 

EYFS- Leo and Katerina

KS1- Amelia NG, Amelia W and Isabella

LKS2- Robin A, Harry C,  Erin J

UKS2- Dusty A, Ariana CT, Scarlet M, Eliza M and Eliza E
