School Council - Healthy Schools

As part of the healthy schools initiative, the School Council has decided to hold a competition for the children to create a healthy meal. The winning dish will be included on the school menu. Children have been shown the website www.phunkyfoods.co.uk and you are welcome to look at this together at home to get some ideas.

When creating the dishes, children need to consider allergies, and dishes must not include nuts or nut based products. After the closing date for entries, staff will vote for their favourite dishes from each phase group - EYFS, KS1, Lower KS2 and Upper KS2. The kitchen staff will then have the deciding vote and choose the winning dish. We would also like the children to create a healthy eating poster. These will be displayed around the school to remind everyone to eat healthily!

All entries and posters need to be brought into school by Tuesday 6 June.
