Poppies on the Pier

Thank you to all the brilliant volunteers who gave up part of their lunch time to sew poppies onto chains for this year's Poppies on the Pier installation at Southend Pier. These amazing pupils gave up their free time to help us create a truly moving tribute, honouring our armed forces heroes. Every stitch they sewed has brought us closer to covering the pier in a stunning cascade of red.
