KS1 - Book Donation
As we embark on another exciting academic year at Robert Drake, we would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support in fostering a love for reading among our young pupils.
Reading is a fundamental skill that forms the cornerstone of a child's education. It not only enhances their language proficiency but also nurtures their imagination and creativity. With this in mind, I am writing to kindly request your assistance in enriching our class library for guided reading by donating any of your unused books from the list below.
We have compiled a list of specific titles that we believe would greatly benefit our pupils and encourage their passion for reading. If any of you have these books at home and are no longer in need of them, we would be immensely grateful if you would consider donating them to our class libraries. The books we are seeking include: • "How to Hide a Lion" by Helen Stephens • "A Squash and a Squeeze" by Julia Donaldson • "The Day the Crayons Quit" by Drew Daywalt • "Claude in the City" by Alex T Smith • "The Legend of Spud Murphy" by Eoin Colfer • "The Twits" by Roald Dahl • "Last Stop on Market Street" by Matt de la Peña • "Rosie Revere Engineer" by Andrea Beaty • "Toys in Space" by Mini Grey
Your generous contributions will go a long way in creating a nurturing environment where reading is not only encouraged but celebrated.
If you would like to make a donation, please feel free to drop off the books at the school office during our regular operating hours. Your generosity will be acknowledged, and a special bookplate will be placed inside each donated book to commemorate your contribution. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our students' education.
