Change to the School Day - With effect from September 2023

Back in March 2022 the Department for Education announced that mainstream schools should deliver a school week of at least 32.5 hours with effect from September 2023. The current weekly hours delivered at Robert Drake are slightly below this and the Governors have therefore approved an amendment to the school day as follows. Currently the school day is from 8.50 am until 3.15 pm (or 3.10 pm for EYFS) To bring in line with the 32.5 hour school week, as from 1 September the school day will be: 8.45 am until 3.15 pm (or 3.10 pm for EYFS) From September the school gates will therefore open at 8.35 am (instead of 8.40 am)
